Hi, well virus writers are all very skilled programmers. They r usually people just having fun, sometimes they want to practice their programming skills. In some cases even anti virus companies like Symantec might write viruses according to me in order to promote their software, that might explain why some viruses get easily fixed and why some viruses damage a few thousand systems before getting fixed.
With the release of Windows Vista its getting more and more difficult to write viruses for Windows cause Vista uses user account control meaning any foreign software does not get control of your system unless u allow it and with all the Unix security feature being added to Vista then Vista is pretty secure as well. Now hackers and programmers will have to trick people to install viruses by allowing them to run like they trick people with OS X for example they may advertise the product as being some cool software and they will bundle a worm with it. This way the user who thinks their OS is very secure will give the worm authority to destroy its system.
Who are the people who write viruses ?antivirus scan
Some say the virus writers are mostly from erstwhile USSR states, South Asian and South East Asian states.. upto the the Asia Pacific region.
