I just downloaded an antivirus thing and it has detected about ten trojan viruses and its only 8% done. ive been sending them to quarentine for some reason. is that correct? then what should i do? just by getting rid of them, will that fix my computer?
What do i do about these viruses i get?nortonantivirus
What Anti Virus are you using that you have to send EACH virus found to Quaranteen manually? Or can you set it to do this as it finds them?
What you are doing is correct, but set your software to quaranteene them all and report when it's done. You also need a good firewall, (becides the one that comes with Windows) and an Anti Spyware program or 2.
I personally recomment the following and I never have to worry about it. They are all FREE.
I use all of the following Free software with Windows XP SP2 and Internet Explorer with MSN toolbar and the pop-up blocker turned on and have never had a single problem with my computer sense Microsoft came out with SP2. (knock on wood.) (And be sure to keep Windows and the following software Updated)
The best Anti-virus is: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. (www.grisoft.com)
The Best Spyware defense is: SpyBot Search and Destroy (%26lt;--Englishhttp://www.safer-networking.org/en/index... version
AND: AdAware SE (www.lavasoft.com)
AND Spyware Blaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.info/kb/)
