im scanning my computer of viruses right now (im on a different computer than the one im scanning). im using kaspersky and so far i have 19 viruses . does the scanner take the viruses off as well ? or do i have to do something else to get them off ?do scans just show u what is there ?

Yes it will prompt you that the infected file has been healed or deleted..
